From the moment a child enters a Parker classroom, they will be cared for and attentively listened to. Our teachers respond to children’s natural interests, keeping curiosity and creativity thriving and setting the stage for a positive disposition toward learning, forever. Early, positive experiences with caring adults outside of the family help children to develop confidence in relationships that will transfer to teachers and peers in preschool
and grade school.
Child-centered and developmentally appropriate
Toddlers observe the adult world and want to try everything! They are in search of autonomy. We furnish our classroom with accessible, toddler size materials so students can try everything! We encourage self directed, creative play. With caring and responsive teachers nearby, play supports the development of language and motor control. Play is the work of children and through active engagement in play, Parker students have new experiences and positive peer experiences.
