Robert C. Parker School seeks an experienced, warm, and engaging teacher for its combined first and second grade class. The 1-2 teacher instructs literacy, social studies, and math, with a project-based curriculum. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. The 1-2 teacher works with colleagues such as the Spanish teacher, lower school science teacher, and other specialists for interdisciplinary studies, in keeping with the school mission. Ability to design project based and experiential learning is a must.
For all teaching positions, a Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree and experience in an independent school is preferred.
Robert C. Parker School seeks two assistants for our preK classrooms and Beforecare program. The successful candidates will be warm and caring and have some experience working with young children. The ideal candidate has an associate’s degree or higher, in an education field, and/or experience working with young children in a school setting. One assistant position is from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, and begins as the Beforecare teacher and then transitions to the PreK program at 8:15am. The second assistant begins at 8:15am and helps to transition PreK students to Aftercare from 3:30 to 3:45.
Our school is comprised of a dedicated, collaborative faculty, and an ability to see the PreK program as part of the whole school is important.
